Low cost plastic fire appliances 

Dennis Fire (NZ)

John Walker advises that Dennis Fire (NZ) are the suppliers of a range of imported fire appliances suitable for use in rural communities. 

New to Dennis agencies is the range of Snuffer CAFS systems. The most single most outstanding benefit of CAFS is an increase in the effectiveness of water by a factor of 5. Manufactured by the Tuff Built Company in Winnipeg Canada, the Snuffer range includes portable units along with vehicle mounted types of varying capacities. Snuffer is widely acknowledged as the market leader in CAFS equipment and has developed state of the art units which are total simplicity to start up and operate.

Snuffer build a range of portable units with the smallest the FL90-20 at around 114kgs being an ideal match for a 400litre poly tank mounted on a typical double cab ute. This model supplies CAF through a 25mm lay flat delivery  or a 25mm hose reel. The Honda powered FL90-20 is factory set to supply a choice of either Wet or Dry foams simply by turning a lever. A water only outlet supplying up to 440lpm can be provide as can an air priming system. The FL90-20 designation stands for FL denoting Frameless, 90 meaning 90 USGPM and 20 showing the cubic feet per min of air. 

Next up the range is the FL 90-40. Also Honda powered this unit can be specified with either one 38mm outlet or two 25mm outlets with multiple other options available. Water discharge is available Weighs in at about 165 KG. Top of the range is the NXG series which can be supplied in a range of options including fully computerised with the simultaneous supply of different foam types.
